The Heart Of A Marine Foundation is an official charity of Alexian Brother Tour of Elk Grove. The foundation provides comfort, support, financial assistance, and educational resources to improve the quality of life of military personnel and veterans form all branches of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their families.
In 2011 the Foundation is sponsoring the adaptive athlete's race which is for disabled veteran athletes who continue to compete as Hand Cyclist.
Handcycling is sanctioned by United States Handcycling Federation, Inc, and is a non-profit corporation designed to create integrated cycling opportunities for wheelchair users and athletes with lower-mobility impairments.
Who Can Participate
Athletes welcome to participate include disabled veterans and hand cyclists.
Race Information
The Race is scheduled for Sunday, August 7th at 10:30 a.m. The competition will last for 30 minutes and will take place on a flat street 1.2 mile Criterium style course.
Entry Fee
There is a $25.00 entry fee for each participant.
Prize Money
A total of $2,500.00 will be dispersed to the top 20 competitors finishing the Race. Click Here for prize money breakdown.

Is located at Grove Junior High School at the corner of Elk Grove Blvd. and Ridge.

Whether you're young or old, get in a festive mood and take a spin on the course track for the always-popular annual Village Trustees' "Fun Ride" at this year's Tour of Elk Grove. This truly enjoyable community bike event is only one short lap in length and open to bike riders of all skill levels!
