MAYOR'S CHALLENGE
This year's Village Cycle Sport Mayor's Challenge -- a cycling event in which teams compete--has been expanded to two stages in 2008.

  • Stage 1 Team Time Trial (4.5 miles) will be held on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
  • Stage 2 (4 laps) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday
  • Team size: Minimum of 3 riders; maximum of 5 riders.
  • Maximum number of teams: 30
  • Male, female and co-ed entries.
  • Riders must be able to compete (no leisure riding).
  • Check-in: All team members must check-in at Race Day registration to pick up their bib numbers. There will be no race day registration.
  • NO CATEGORY OR TRI-ATHLETE RIDERS! Anyone who has road in a category event in the last five (5) years (names will be checked against the USA Cycling & US Triathlete databases). Active tri-athletes will not be able to participate. This event is meant for the weekend warrior for this fun-friendly competition.
  • Team results determination: The rider who finishes in third place per team will determine the team's overall time. The overall team winner will be determined on the best team time.
  • Awards will be presented to Mayor's Challenge team winners.
  • All participants must fill our an entry form and provide full name, address, city, state, zip, date of birth and age in order to compete in the event.
