Mayor's Charity Time Trial Fundraising Ride

Mayor Johnson will donate $20.00 to the Soldier's Memorial Fund for the first 25 riders to beat his official time (Mayor Johnson will start at 3:15 p.m. base time)!
If you'd like to try the Charity Time Trial, day-of registration closes at 2:30pm on the day of the event. Entry fee is $50 and proceeds the Soldier Memorial Fund.
Ever have the dream of playing on the field with professional baseball, football, basketball or hockey players? At the Tour of Elk Grove Charity Time Trial participants will have this unique opportunity.

This opportunity is on Friday, August 3, at 3:15 p.m., when amateur riders can take off from the same start ramp and race the same course as the pros just a short while before the actual pros race. This is your chance to compare your time against the world's top cyclists on a 4.5 mile time trial course. The professional men's and women's time trial starts at 3:30 p.m., immediately following the charity time trial.

You do not have to be a USA Cycling licensed rider to compete in this time trial. This is one event that is open to all who wish to take a shot at the best. The number of spots available is limited and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Half the proceeds from the charity time trial benefit the Soldier Memorial Fund.

There are not very many sports where you can directly compare yourself with the pros, yet at the Tour of Elk Grove you have this unique chance to race with the best. Dare to compare and see how you do.
